Surrey Wildlife Trust

Writer in Residence

I am delighted to be Writer in Residence at Surrey Wildlife Trust where I run one-day Wild Writing courses at the trust's new education centre in Nower Wood, near Leatherhead, Surrey. This ancient woodland setting provides a vibrant and peaceful source of inspiration for writing.

Wild Writing
Sunday 30 June 2019, 10:00am-4:00pm
Be inspired to write in the beautiful natural setting of this course. Enjoy a walk through the ancient woodland of Nower Wood before taking time to express your thoughts on paper. With nature as the theme of the day, you will feel both relaxed and invigorated and ready to write.

The Wild Writing courses are suitable for nature lovers, new writers, those who want to write and those already writing. There is no need to prepare anything in advance as a series of discussions and exercises will get you started.

Please note that while we hope to enjoy the outdoors on the day, if you do not wish to take your writing outside or the weather is poor,  delegates are very welcome to remain inside while enjoying the amazing woodland views from the classroom.

The course price is £60 for SWT members and £72 for non-members.

Please bring along a pen and paper and a packed lunch.
